Keep the subject easy to identify
Use a sharp image with even lighting. Very small faces, heavy blur or an object covering the face make it harder to preserve the subject. Start with the original photo rather than a compressed screenshot when possible.
Match the sample’s framing
A close portrait and a full-body scene give the model different information. Inspect the template sample and choose a source with suitable framing. An effect that involves full-body motion needs more of the body visible than a face-focused effect.
Understand the output proportions
The website displays samples in portrait frames without cropping them. This display choice does not force a portrait output. Your source image and the selected effect determine the output proportions.
Prepare two photos for supported DUO effects
Use one clear person in each photo and follow the first and second slot labels. Where the template labels the slots Her photo and His photo, preserve that order. The full quote includes the two-photo composition charge.
Use photos you have permission to upload
Only upload images you own or have permission to use. Do not upload sexual content involving minors or create intimate material of a person without consent. Review the privacy and safety page before using photos of someone else.
